I see you have also posted about getting a free refrigerator on the site. The same goes true for finding a free washer and dryer. You can use the same help sources I listed there to find what you need. I would also like to add that you can try to get a few government grants to help you out. Here is a good site you can check out on how they work and how you can find what you need. www.moneysavingexpert.com/.../

Here is another site that will tell you how to find free appliances for your home. www.americanhoperesources.com/.../574341aeda3c7-5-places-to-find-free...

I posted on your question about a fridge, so the Go Fund Me part holds true here and there, as does my comments about getting free, used appliances and mold. Be very, very careful!

The same suggestions for the ReStore apply here. The college maintenance people comment does not apply.

When I did not have a washer (I still do not have a dryer), I used to use the laundromat washer, then I would bring my clothes home to dry.

I would hang things in the bathroom and if there was too much to hang there, I would use the doorway to closet. They weren't dripping wet, so there was no damage to the carpet. One apartment I lived in let us hang clothes in the boiler room which was super warm (dry heat). They had some hooks and a few lines and we could hang clothes there to dry. That was a good deal. Fast, free drying.

I hadn't thought of this in years and I have't researched the value of aluminium lately, but I used to get my laundry money by collecting and selling aluminum cans.

The best place for doing this was when I lived by railroad tracks that were near a major road and I would take a huge trash bag and pick up all of the littered cans in the large grassy area between the tracks and the road (it was quite safe as I was not near the trains or the cars). I would do so well there that sometimes I could actually use the dryer in the laundromat!

I would wash out the cans in the basement of my apartment--they had a stationary tub that all tenants could use in the cellar. The scrap lot paid cash on the spot and sometimes even paid out in rolls of quarters, if I had enough.

That money always went to laundry laundry supplies and any extra to groceries.

Prayers for solutions!

Most likely most of the places mentioned will have no way to help you even if they have a washer and dryer as these are just like a refrigerator - they are very large and heavy and will need even more than one person to deliver them.

You have to be realistic and talk to someone that can help you and your grandmother solve some of your problems.
I do not know where you live but I still believe a nearby church would be the best place for you to ask for help.
Just go to the office and explain what problems you are having. Talking with someone in person is the only way you are going to be able to get the help you need.

I do not know why you and your grandmother are living alone but I know it's possible you need more help than just these appliances so please talk with someone about your living conditions.
No one is going to just pop up and give you these appliances so take the steps necessary to find someone that can help you.
I do not know what type of government benefits you are receiving but you should be able to contact family services in your zip code and ask them for help.

The type of help you are asking for will have to come from someone who can talk to you and determine exactly what you and your grandmother need.
