Cocoa Cream Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 baked pastry shell or crumb crust (9 inch)
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/3 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

Combine dry ingredients in saucepan. Gradually blend milk into dry ingredients, stirring until smooth. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until filling boils; boil one minute. Remove from heat, blend in butter or margarine and vanilla. Pour into pie crust. Chill 3-4 hours. Serve plain or with whipped cream or ice cream.
