I often place my veggies or potato or whatever in a ziplock baggie, it has always worked just fine for me. I probably will continue doing this same way. jamish

The new Ziplock "Steamer" bags are super and come in regular and large size. Microwaving times are printed on the bag to help guide you along. The bags have a special seam that allows pressure to escape but not the product.

I'm wondering how we lived without them till now for steaming veggies.

I love this product. But I normally add an extra min to the cooking time for softer veggies.
