Drilling in the Ceiling

When drilling holes in the ceiling a lot of dust can fall down. If possible, ask a helper to hold the vacuum nozzle near the area you are drilling. If that is not possible you can also use a cheap shallow plastic bowl or the plastic lid from a coffee can to catch the dust.

Just poke a hole in it and put it down over the drill bit and push it down past the drilling threads leaving enough clearance to drill the length hole you need.
