Wildlife: Frog (Coquille, OR)

Bronze Photo Medal for All Time! 88 Photos

Many of us mindlessly reach into our purses without looking each and every day. Why think twice about it? We know what's in there, right? Well, on one such day during one such moment, I was casually rummaging my hand around in my purse in search of the pad I write my grocery lists on. Suddenly, my fingers brushed across something wet and slimy.

I squealed like a little girl and tore my hand away from the opening in my purse. As my husband came running to my rescue and we made a closer inspection, we saw a tiny tree frog hurriedly hopping away from us in absolute terror - poor little thing!

I immediately captured him and took him outside to our wood chip pile. I let him go where he wanted and do as he pleased in this wood pile, following and taking pictures all the way. At one point, as you see in this photo, he crouched down as if he were ready to leap. I caught him in this pose and thought it looked like he was doing push ups. Beef up, little man. LOL! Just want to thank God for the neat and odd experience he provided us that day. Very neat. Hope you all enjoy!
