Permanent Marker on a Wood Floor?

HELP! My husband is going to kill me! My 2 year old just used red permanent. marker all over our wood stairs. I've tried everything on here; Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Toothpaste, and bug spray! I used Krud Kutter, it's taking the finish off of the stairs!

OK - I can't believe it, but the pink eraser worked! Try it before you break out any household cleaner or alcohol. Once the PINK permanent marker was removed from the table, I used lemon oil furniture cleaner. My table has never looked so good! My husband's life was spared - as he had let our daughter color on a single sheet of paper (on the table) with the permanent marker.

Use Nicole's idea--just a regular pink eraser (you know, those rectangle ones) will usually do the trick. I've gotten permanent marker off a wooden table.

Try other erasers if the pink kind doesn't work. Good luck!

I have used fingernail polish remover on permanent marker marks and it seemed to work for me.

I just removed black sharpies marks from my new wood floor with an eraser. It came off with little effort. Thanks!

I just had this happen. 2 year old got the big black permanent marker and scribbled all over my hardwood floor. After freaking out, I got apple cider vinegar, sprayed it, and rubbed it lightly with a yellow colored DRY Brillo pad.

Every bit of it came out. No trace. My gray hair turned back into brown. Markers are put away now somewhere on the planet Pluto. Hope it works for you.
