Acquire a photo of your destination vacation spot and reduce the photo so that it fits in your wallet. Place it where you can see it each time you reach for your cash, credit card or check to make a purchase. You will think twice about making some of your purchases when you see the photo that reminds you of your vacation. I've tried it and trust me, it works! You could also post the photo in prominent areas of your home as a constant reminder too. Maybe next to your computer to avoid the urge to shop online.
