Don't assume that your bank has the best price on checks. You can often find checks for as much as half the cost from other check suppliers.

Be very careful when ordering checks from ads in the Sunday newspaper! I recently did just that, & after the checks arrived they sent me an ADDITIONAL bill for almost 50.00! They claimed I was not a first time customer because I had ordered checks from them once before 6 YEARS AGO,( which of course I don't remember that far back).They would not take the checks back & I had to pay the additional amt.
Support local businesses, or risk losing them. Why not stop by print shops while running other errands and inquire about their prices?
Just don't use checks. I do all my banking online without any problems and have to write only one check a month which is for my rent as landlord does not have the capability to accept payment online. When you only have to use 52 checks a year they last a long time. I am still using checks with my deceased husband's name on them and he has been gone for over 5 years.
