Italian Beef Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. thinly sliced cooked roast beef
  • 1 can beef consomme (10oz.)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 med. onion, sliced
  • 1 green pepper, cut in strips
  • Ad

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • sandwich buns

Directions:

Combine consomme,' ketchup, onion, green pepper, water, garlic and oregano in large saucepan or frying pan; heat to boiling. Add beef, cover and cook slowly 25-30 minutes. Dip cut surface of top half of roll in hot liquid. Place hot beef and vegetables on bottom half. Put sandwich together.
