Keeping Utensils In Dishwasher Basket

Silver Post Medal for All Time! 306 Posts

If you have trouble with your silverware falling on through your utensil basket in the dishwasher, save those old scrubber pads and line the bottoms of the compartments with them. The mesh ones work great because they will let food particles fall through. You can easily pull them out and rinse the food off that remains.

Great idea! A piece of plastic canvas also works, or a piece of onion sack!

That is a fabulous tip! I have metal chopsticks, which are way cool by the way, and they were falling through the holes. I angled them but was concerned that they'd slide through and stop the tray in its tracks.

The mesh scrubby is such a great idea and will make my cooking fun all that much easier. Thanks for sharing :)
