Using a Back Scratcher to Retrieve Dropped Items

I am not able to get down on my knees to retrieve something I dropped if it has ended up too far to just bend over and pick up. So one day I used my new back scratcher to bring the item closer to me. This worked so well that now I keep a back scratcher by my desk here all the time and it has saved me so much aggravation.

Being a crafter I am always dropping things besides paper, things like beads, etc. Also there is a part of my area where it is difficult to retrieve something, but now I can get anything that falls there quite easily.

I do this too Peggy. It is great to reach the spices that are to high too. My mom puts double sided tape on the end to reach tricky items as well.
God bless.

You can buy inexpensive grabbers. They have a long handle and a squeeze claw that actually pinches on the object and picks it up. No bending at all is required.

You can get them at any medical supply store but I have seen them in the grocery store. I am sure they can be found on line.

I have a round wooden wall clock in my bathroom. I can change the time by moving the hands in front, and to keep from having to get a step stool, I use a back scratcher to move the hands when the time changes.
