Making Paper Bags From Newspaper?

When I was growing up, my mother who was a public health nurse, used to make paper bags from newspapers. She did this by folding several sheets of newspapers. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks.

Don't know if this is what you had in mind but there are 2 different origami style garbage bins here:

Or a more simplistic paper bag shape:

Here's a link for making gift bags.
I would imagine you could just leave the
handle part off.
There is a video here:

Try this, it may be the answer. I will try it as soon as I have some newspaper...just recycled:)

During World War II we use to make the garbage bags from newspapers as a conservation project and the Origami pattern is what we used. Thanks for the up-date as I had forgotten how to do it.
