Cleaning Laminate Flooring With a Steam Mop?

Why do some say it is harmful to use a steam mop on laminate flooring? Also what product will keep the flooring looking new and not dull?

I use a steamer on mine and have no problems whatsoever. I just love my steamer!

I use Murphy's Oil Soap and a wet mop. In between I use my swifter. Over time the steam mop can buckle your laminate.

I use my steamer on everything! If your steamer had temp. adjustments than maybe you may like to keep it at a medium setting. If it is one without that feature,I personally can't imagine not using a steamer. After all it is the only thing that completely kills germs. My daughter has problems with a "haze" if used and floor isn't cleaned fully first. If you use a cleaner once in awhile (I stay with my home made cleaners) I don't see problem with using a steam cleaner.
