Loose face powder just a shade or two lighter than your skin tone and lightly patted on your face with a puff or powder brush as needed works great! :-)

Here is a tip I learned when I sold makeup because I have the same problem.
Whether you use powder over foundation or alone, use a damp sponge or washcloth and press it all over your powdered face; the moisture sets the powder and makes your makeup last longer.

There are also makeups now that are supposed to last all day; I use one by Merle Norman but there are others
Hope this helps.

I use Monistat Soothing Care Chafing Relief Powder-Gel under my makeup base. Let it dry for a few minutes and add your liquid makeup I use Revlon Photo Ready Makeup. This extends the makeup and allows the water to bead up on the skin. At first you may think it feels a bit funny or greasy, but it works and does not really look greasy, just smooth with a matte finish. I love it.
