I think it should be OK but make sure there is no ammonia in the detergent. It is becoming a common additive in the U.S. and that type of detergent would not be safe for the kittens. You want something very mild. If you are concerned, you could buy a shampoo at a pet store that is formulated for kittens.

Good luck!

t Fairy is totally not the same. Trust me. I have both. Get someone you know who can go to costco...or hell pay me to grab you a bottle next time I go.... it's about $10 a 2ltr bottle.

But Fairy is no way anything like dawn.

Try USA Foods website. They have a retail outlet in Moorabbin, VIC. They carry a 90oz/2.66L Dawn Original Scent for $21.99, as well as Dawn Ultra in both a 14oz and a 24oz ($4.89 and $8.79 respectively). They offer shipping throughout Australia.

Costco in Australia now has Dawn blue liquid soap. I've been trying to get the Pink Dawn Pomegranate Scent with Olay moisturiser but I can't find it here and getting it from amazon is only about $12Au but the postage would be $75.

Not exactly what I want to pay for Dawn of any colour
