Cruise Ship Muesli Recipe?

On my last cruise I fell in love with the muselix breakfast that was offered. It was creamy, contained strawberries and cranberries, and was delicious! I have looked on-line and many other people would also like that recipe so we can duplicate this at home, but no one knows how to make it. Please help!

Since you say it was creamy, I have to ask, was it cooked?

You didn't say too much about what you are looking for but I did a Google and came up with these two recipes. Maybe you can adapt the tastes to suit yourself. The second recipes sounds a bit more like what you were describing.

Recipe for Bircher Muesli, a Swiss/German breakfast cereal based on uncooked oats, yoghurt, and nuts, from Fred Olsen Cruise Lines

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Refrigerate overnight: 8 hours

Total Time: 8 hours, 15 minutes

Ingredients:
1/2 cup oat flakes
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup plain yoghurt
1/4 cup chopped or sliced nuts
1 apple and 1 pear
1/4 cup sugar
Splash of lemon juice
4 tsp. raisins
Honey to taste

Preparation:

Soak oat flakes in milk and yoghurt overnight. Grate the apple and pears coarsely, (if you like peel them first) than blend immediately with lemon juice. Mix all the ingredients and combine them carefully. Garnish with nuts and seasonal fruits. It will keep in the fridge for 1-2 days.

Cherry bircher muesli
Ingredients
Serves 4

1 cup cherries, pitted and halved
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 1/2 cups fruit juice (try fresh coconut juice or apple juice)

1 1/2 cups natural yoghurt
1/2 cup toasted flaked almonds
2 Tbsp sunflower seeds
2 tsp sesame seeds
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1-2 tbsp honey to taste
Extra cherries and yoghurt to serve

This can be made ahead; the addition of cherries makes it festive enough for Christmas morning.

Combine all ingredients and stir well. Refrigerate for one hour or overnight. Serve with extra cherries and yoghurt.
