Whiskey Cake

Moist and delicious, easy to make, freezes well, a family favorite.


  • 1 2- layer yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup whiskey (cheap, not the costly "sipping" kind)
  • Ad

  • 1 small instant vanilla pudding (you can use chocolate if you wish)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup chocolate morsels, milk or semi-sweet, your choice
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch bits


Mix first 6 ingredients together to blend, then beat on medium speed for about 3 minutes. Add nuts and candies. Pour into a greased and floured 13x9 inch metal baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes, then reduce the heat to 325 degrees F for 40 minutes until done. Start checking at 30 minutes, as it can burn easily.
