Recipes Using Limes?

I have about a dozen fresh limes. What can I use them for other than to add to beverages? I am going on vacation in one week and will not be returning for 3 weeks. I don't think the limes will hold up until then.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have had success freezing citrus fruits. First juice the limes, then grate the zest. Place juice and zest in a freezer-safe container and go on vacation!

Then you can enjoy it in your recipes later -- without having to go on a lime spree this week.

I would try some of your favorite lemon recipes only substitute lime. I'm sure it would be yummy.

Good luck!

You could juice the limes and freeze the juice in an ice cube tray to use in the future. This is a great way to store lemon juice, also. When you have a recipe that calls for the juice of a lime or lemon, you will have a supply handy.

Another idea would be to make black bean dishes with lime juice. A mexican treat!
