I had a great time making crudites. These are vegi and fruit displays. Tall stalkes of celery and carrots in a vase. Skewered chunks of fruit or small vegi's like mushrooms, cherry tomatoes etc. in another vase. Serve with different dressings.
Another great idea is to cut a water melon in half lenghthwise. Maybe even leaving a handle if you want it to look like a basket. take out the meat , cut in chunks, add other fruits and put back into the melon.
Have fun, don't stress your ideas will come flowing.

My concern is that 1-3 year olds may choke on small bits of food, so keep adult food where they can't get at it. I like a cake frosted and then decorated with miniature colored marshmallows. Children really like the tiny marshmallows.

Plastic cocktail cups with Cheerios or fruit flavored cereal grouped on a table would be decorative. At this age, I think a sleeping or rest alcove or room would be a help for all.
