My brother and I visited New York City in May. We were walking to the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty on a rainy morning and we passed the World Trade Center site.
The pictures don't really do it justice, the top of the partially built building was lost in the clouds. It is such a large area, I can't imagine how terrifying it would have been to be there in 2001. I will definitely visit the completed memorial the next time I visit New York.
