How to Refresh Honey

To refresh honey, loosen lid (remove if metal). Place in microwave for ten seconds and it's as good as new.

As an old commercial bee keepers wife I must add that heating honey above 160 degrees F. removes all its food value.

Another way to take the crystals out of honey, is to place the container with the lid off in a pan in about an inch of water. Heat it on the stove on very low heat.

This may take awhile for the crystals to dissolve. Just make sure you don't get water into the honey. The honey will be back to normal after doing this.

I found that when you Microwave honey it takes the Moisture out of it, to me it is much better to put it in a pan of water on low heat.
