Newspaper for Gasoline Spill

I spilled gasoline in the trunk of my car. I solved the odor problem by laying newspaper over the carpet where it was spilled. The paper absorbed the odor and there was no stain to even see where it was spilled. The problem was solved!

We had gasoline spill in well behind passenger seat. Tried several remedies, including having carpet cleaned and car deodorized. Finally had auto upholstery place remove and replace padding which had absorbed gasoline.

They then cleaned back of carpeting, and now there is no odor.
