Easy Danish Apple Dessert

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 cans (20 oz. ea.) apple pie filling*
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 package vanilla instant pudding

  • 8 oz. Cool Whip

Directions

In a 9x13-inch pan, mix flour, butter and sugar. When well mixed, pat in bottom of pan. Spread pie filling over crust. Bake at 375 degrees F for 45 minutes. Mix pudding with milk; spread over hot dessert. Cool. Frost with Cool Whip and refrigerate. Nuts may be sprinkled on top.

Note: Can substitute another pie filling such as cherry, blueberry, etc.

Connie, Usually your recipes are so clear I just love to start them, but this time you baffled me. Do you melt the butter or use it at room temp or cold and the dough is like pellets?????
