Garlic Cauliflower

This is a delicious side dish that goes well with a rice.



This is a recipe I constantly get requests for. It is so simple yet delicious.

  1. Cut the stem out of the cauliflower and cut into large pieces. Wash and drain off water. Set aside.
  2. Peel the garlic. Then, smash each clove with the flat side of a heavy knife.
  3. In a pot, heat oil over medium heat. Then, add garlic and sauté until lightly golden.
  4. Add cauliflower, 1/4 cup soy sauce and 1/2 cup water. Cover pot with a lid and steam cauliflower for about 6 minutes or until cauliflower is soft. I like the cauliflower to break at the touch of a fork, if you like yours with a bit of a crunch, reduce the water to 1/8 cup and steam for 3 minutes.
  5. Serve and enjoy.
