One of my favorite casserole recipes. Very kid-friendly and easy to make!
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
salt and pepper, to taste
1 (8oz.) can tomato sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1/8 tsp. pepper
Directions:
Brown ground beef, onion, green pepper and seasoning in a skillet. Drain off fat and add rest of ingredients. Heat through and pour into ungreased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish, alternating layers of meat, then slices of American cheese, and end with meat mixture. Arrange 1 can refrigerator buttermilk biscuits around the edge of the casserole. Bake in 400 degree F oven for 20-25 minutes or until biscuits are brown.
