Cream together butter, sugar and egg until light and fluffy. Blend in orange peel. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Add alternately with undrained pineapple and sour cream and mix by hand just until all of four is moistened. Sprinkle almonds in to bottom and sides of heavily greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Pour batter. Bake at 350 for 60-65 minutes. Let stand in pan 10 minutes before turning out on rack to cool.
