If you ever have a numbers on the handset of a telephone that you cannot push any longer, try this: Take the phone apart. My handset was in three layers. Wipe with damp cloth and q-tips. Mine had a few dog hairs in it. Reassemble and see if that corrects your problem. I was told by the manufacturer that the phone was no good if you had this problem. I sat the phone to the side and several months later decided to try and clean it and it worked!
