Sesame Onion Twists

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 cups finely chopped onions
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed (16 oz.)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Ad
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame seeds

Melt butter in medium skillet. Add chopped onion and paprika; cook until onion is tender, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Grease work surface and roll dough into 14x12 inch rectangle.

Spread onion mixture on one side of dough. Fold dough over onion mixture to make a 14x6 inch rectangle. Pinch 14 inch edge of dough to seal over onion mixture.

Cut dough into 14 lengthwise dough strips. Gently twist strips 2 times and place on greased baking sheet. Press down both ends of strips to prevent curling. Let twists rise in warm place until double in size. Brush with beaten egg; sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 15-18 minutes or until golden. Serve immediately with salsa or cheese dip.
