Cornelius is a 6 month old Tabby. He was a rescue pet, who was found in a gas can by my grandson Jason and his girlfriend Alex. Yes, when we say "rescue", we really mean it, because he was just 3 weeks old. They kept him as long as they could, and when they couldn't find a home for him, I was able to bring this lovable creature into my home.
Corny is one of the biggest cats I have ever seen, because the people who housed him for the kids fed him whatever he wanted, and cats love to be gluttons! So with all the shots, diet food, ear, flea, and worm medications I have invested so much in him, he is mine for keeps. I wouldn't have it any other way.
He loves to cuddle. Most cats are kind of aloof, but Corney is a snuggler. He is right there on my pillow each morning, about 4 inches from my face. He looks at me like "mommy, please wake up.I love you". He often reaches out and gently touches my cheek. It's the best alarm clock in the world.
Corny also loves to chase balls of paper, chase the occasional bug that flies in, sleep, purr, and explore the new apartment with the all the nooks and crannies between and behind all the many boxes. Cornelius was about to be a statistic, but now he is in a safe and loving home.
If you or someone you know has the chance to save a pet, do it. It's a feeling like no other in the world. Corny has a sweet and unique face, who looks like he is crying snow. I can't imagine how dull my life would be without him.

He is beautiful! Wish I would have found him first! :) Gosh he is so big for only 6 months! High Five for Cornelius. Cool name too!
Cornelius is a beautiful cat. I'm so glad your grandson found him for you.
Thanks for sharing him with us.

Cornelius is a 1 year old Tabby cat. I got my pet when my grandson and his girlfriend couldn't keep him. He is the deity that keeps me sane. He loves to look out the door for critters and other cats in the yard. He has the best snuggle routine in bed that I adore every night.
For some reason, he loves the rug I brought in a couple weeks ago. That is the reason for this post. It was like the rug had some magical properties or he smelled something he loved on it. For the first few days, he was in there all the time getting so comfy and cute, I couldn't resist taking some shots.
I hope you enjoy. Cornelius is just one of so many critters who were abused as kittens. He was found inside a gas can and was saved. He will be loved until one of us isn't breathing. For his rough start, he is the most adorable and loving cat I can ever imagine having.
