Can you make the bread batter ahead of time and bake it the next day? I dont always have time to bake the bread if it is the day to do after one of my long days at work.

RE: Amish Friendship Bread

When starting the bread, I just use a gallon freezer bag and just leave it on the counter. Each day you just kneed the bag. Somedays you will need to release some of the air because it will puff up. But this is a great deal easier and less messy than the bowl. On the days you are adding ingredients, just add into the bag and kneed. Then when you are ready to make your bread, just pour it straight from the bag in the measuring cups. Hope this help. (04/19/2007)
