Cleaning An Old Wooden Crate

I found an old explosives crate in my grandma's shed. it is very dirty but in great shape. it still has the lettering and company logo. I want to clean it up but dont know what to use. I dont want to ruin the logo. Any suggestions?

I love old crates and have cleaned up a few. First dust it with a whisk broom to get off all the dirt so you don't create mud when you wash it. Next wash all wood parts with murphy's oil soap - don't soak the crate with water by ringing out your rag well (sponges will leave bits behind). I've always just used a damp rag on labels, but to be cautious with your great label you can treat it like wallpaper. Rub it down with white bread or buy a commercial wallpaper cleaner at the store. Good luck.
