How can I remove the musty smell from a wooden desk?

Wash with soap and water, then air it out in full sunlight for a few days.
I've had pieces that this didn't work with and others that did.
Then put fish tank filter type charcoal in socks that have a knot tied in the end and leave them in the closed drawers when it's time to bring it back into the house. Change monthly and occasionally shake the sock to redistribute the charcoal.
Make sure you ALWAYS have charcoal in a sock in each drawer to keep the smell from coming back.
