Ingredients
- 1 beef tenderloin (3-4lb.)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
- 1 cup water
- 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
Directions
Trim excess fat from tenderloin and place in large shallow baking pan. Bake in 400 degree F oven for 10 minutes. In skillet or saucepan saute the onion in butter until tender. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour the mixture over the tenderloin. Reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees and bake for 50 minutes, or until a meat thermometer reaches 150-170 degrees F. Baste often with drippings. Serve tenderloin with the remaining drippings. Serves 8-10.
