Don't make your party on Mother's Day! A lot of people won't attend. I would have a nice luncheon either the week before or the week after.
Maybe you can host a party after school on Friday 11th, because Mother's Day weekend - many will be busy.
Perhaps a bowling alley or hang out at the arcade, then grab pizzas!
Definitely have your party earlier or later than Mother's Day!
