Arborvitae Turning BrownMy arborvitaes are turning brown. Any ideas?

They all do tend to turn brown a little, so it depends on how bad the problem is. Sometimes it's winter burn from the wind and cold that gets them or it could be from not enough sun (they like full sun to part shade). I would take a left of two down to a nursery and see if they have any ideas. Have you added compost to the soil and made sure it drains well and doesn't puddle near the base of the tree? Also, don't fertilize until you know the trees are ok-- would just stress them out!

Make sure they are not to close together. They need the air to circulate around them as much as enough light.
