Art Deco Cardboard Wall Art

Total Time: 90 minutes

Supplies:

• 5 toilet paper cardboard tubes
• ruler
• pen or pencil
• scissors
• glue
• spray paint (optional)

Steps:

1. Flatten all the cardboard tubes. I used about 4 1/2 out of the 5 tubes for this project.

 
2. Mark the tubes at 1/2 inch increments.

 
3. Cut the tubes at the markings to make a bunch of slices.

 
4. Add glue to the tips of four of the slices.

5. Hold them together with your thumbs and index fingers to make a flower shape. It will take about 15 seconds to bond.

 
6. Continue to make 9 flowers in all.

 
7. Attach the flowers side by side with more glue at the tips. Line them up nicely so you are forming circles between them.

 
8. Add another line of 3 flowers below with more glue.

9. Then one more line of 3 below that.

 
10. Spray paint, if desired.

 
11. Make sure to get all the edges and insides.

 
12. I like to hang the art off protruding hooks to cast shadows.

This looks like a fun project for a group.
I will have to drum up help with saving toilet paper rolls...
Everyone knows about external hard drives for computers (?) - well, I think you must have an "external brain" (or cloud power?) to have sufficient space to store all of your ideas, recipes and everything else you have going on in your life.

Thank you, Betty!!! I think too much, that is for sure. But it's a fun and pretty life this way :) I have sufficient space, but I'm running out of space for all my saved up TP rolls! ;) Hugs!
