BTC (Bacon, Tomato Soup, Cheese) Sandwiches
These open-faced sandwiches were a favorite during my childhood days. I taught my children at a young age to make them and they have carried on this family recipe to their children. It is kid-friendly meal for the kids not only eat, but help make!
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Yield: 12 to 15
- 1 loaf bread
- 6 slices bacon
- 12 slices cheese
- 1 can tomato soup
- Cook half slices of bacon in microwave or frying pan until almost done. Drain on paper towel and let cool.
- While bacon is cooking, place sliced sandwich bread onto large baking sheets. Add heaping spoonful of tomato soup (undiluted) to top of each bread slice and spread around a little.
- Add slice of cheese to each bread slice. Top with 1/2 piece of bacon.
- Bake in 350 F oven for about 10 minutes until cheese is melted. Watch them disappear in minutes!
