Bathroom Paint Color Advice?

view of roomWe just remodeled our bathroom due to some water damage problems. Here are the finished pictures. We only need to paint the walls now. I want something bright and fresh. I was thinking coral or a light shade of blue, but really am open to any ideas. Yellow? What do you think?

I included a close up of the tile we used in the shower. We have black white and gray for colors going on now.

What you've done thus far is lovely! I see a brown tile that would stand out if you chose matching paint (& the paint would contrast beautifully). I don't know how long ago your question posted but I'd love to see what you've done or what you choose to do. :)

Oh wow, I never considered the brown! Thanks for posting. And it is fairly new so when we paint I'll show you pictures!

If you are looking for colour, brown may not be the choice you want, as it will make the room dark -- although perhaps you will like the cozy feel. However, I would take the previous posters advice and look at the glass tile for a colour to put on the walls. These seem to be neutral colours, and a lighter one might be better. However, whatever you choose, I think you can add lots of colour with the choice of accessories, shower curtain, and towels.

With the neutral pallet of brown, tan, etc. based on the tile colours, you can use virtual any colour for an accessory. However, if you are thinking of the brown, I think white accessories and towels would look smashing!

I see a lot of people chiming in with using brown. Brown in a bathroom? Personally, it sound horrible to me - as horrible as a totally white bathroom. In fact, brown anywhere doesn't do a thing for me. For those who can, I would suggest a bright sunflower yellow, mixed with orange and blue accessories. I have small items of dark green and red thrown in there also.

I have a dark wood dresser with orange and yellow and dark green and red and neutral colored baskets holding my most used items. Everything else is hidden in the 6 drawers. My shower curtain contains all the baskets colors mentioned. I love the many color combination with only the sunflower yellow for the walls.
