Kids love to learn about insects, even the ones who are afraid of them! It is a very popular pre-k theme that tends to stick around longer than other themes. And bees are the most fascinating to study. There are so many learning videos, games, and activities that can be incorporated into the classroom. A simple, yet educational game, is this bee 1:1 game. Younger kids get practice with 1:1 correspondence by counting each dot and number of bees that match each roll. It's very easy to make and is good for center use, small groups, and one-on-one.
Total Time: 5-15 minutes, depending on whether you laminate

- 2 sheets white card stock
- laminator (optional)
- computer with printer
- 1+ dice
- Print the Bee 1:1 Game from the linked site. Laminate for durability if you choose.
- Print the bees from the linked site and cut them out. You can leave them as is or cut more closely to the bodies like I did. Laminate if you choose.
- Roll a die and add that many bees to the game board. Once there's a bee in every hive, the game is complete. More dice can be added after numbers 1-6 are mastered.
