I have a 2005 Bolens 15.5 mower. I have replaced the carburetor and the spark plug. I have checked the fuel lines going into the carburetor. It tries to start and kills itself.

YOu may actually want to test the starter itself. There are many things, possibly involving the battery, or simply involving the starter itself, that is causing this. Sometimes the starter is corroded or otherwise busted www.youtube.com/
This sounds like you need a battery, the battery is the brains to your mower. Having a weak battery can control start up and finish.
