Breakfast Casserole


Ingredients

  • 9 slices bread (remove crust) for bottom
  • 2 cups sausage, bacon or ham, browned
  • 2 cups cheese, in chunks
  • 9 slices bread (remove crust) for top
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 2 cups crushed cornflakes

Directions

Grease pan well. Cover bottom of a 9x13 inch pan with 9 slices of bread. Layer sausage, bacon or ham and cheese. Mix eggs, milk, salt and pepper (to taste). Pour over 9 slices of bread with have been placed on top of meat and cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Melt stick of butter and stir in 2 cups crushed cornflakes. Spread on top. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 1 hour, covered.
