My male finch died and I am getting another for my female so she will not be lonely. They had a nest already built. Will the new male use it or do I need to replace it? I'm hoping to breed them too.

You will need to wait and see how they are together. Give them time to adjust and if they won't use the nest that is already in the cage, remove it and let them build a new one together.
They probably won't use that nest.
