Cajun Lime Grilled Shrimp Recipe

This is an awesome marinade to use on chicken wings too! For those who might be worried about the amount of spiciness, simply halve the spices only and taste test once marinade is mixed (before adding meat). You can always add the other half before marinating should you decide ;-)
- 1 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
- salt, to taste
- 1 large lime, juiced
- 1 tsp. lime zest
- 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 lb. peeled and deveined medium to large shrimp
- 1 lime, cut into wedges, to serve as a squeezing garnish
Mix together the seasonings, lime juice, and oil in a glass bowl, add shrimp, thoroughly coat and marinate, turning once, covered in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
Preheat grill to medium heat and lightly oil grate.
Remove shrimp from the marinade, and thread onto skewers if desired. Discard the remaining marinade, and grill until shrimp are no longer transparent in the center; about 2 minutes per side.
