I carry an inexpensive light weight over the door hook, I bought at a 99 cent store in my purse. I hang it over rest room doors that don't have one to hang my coat or purse. That way my belongings stay clean and safe while using the restroom.

The door hooks in public restrooms are not safe from thieves. While you are in the midst of going, someone can reach over the top and take your purse. If you are behind a closed door and cant identify the person to the police and you cant catch them because by the time you get the restroom door open, the thief is gone. So please, if you use those hooks, put them low enough where someone cannot reach over the top and grab what's hanging on the hook or keep your purse on your shoulder.
