Cat Peeing and Pooping on Child's Bed?

I have a very finicky cat. She has always assumed it was OK to pee on any paper or plastic left on the floor. But recently, she has taken to peeing and pooping on my daughter's (toddler) bed. It doesn't matter if there are blankets or not. She just does her business right there.

Needless to say, I can't have my daughter sleeping there, when there is a chance of a sneak potty attack. I keep her door open and do not want to close it. I would appreciate any deterrent tips.
