Chocolate Banana Bread

This is a quick, easy recipe, and it also happens to be so delicious! What else can I say?

Total Time: 10 minutes to prepare, plus an hour baking time.

Yield: 8-10 servings

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a regular-sized bread or loaf pan.
  2. Beat sugar, eggs and oil in a large bowl on medium speed with electric mixer. Mix until combined.
  3. Add in banana and vanilla on low speed.
  4. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in medium bowl.
  5. Add to banana mixture, mixing on low speed, just until combined.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Spoon batter into prepared pan.
  8. Bake 60-70 minutes, until toothpick inserted in middle of bread comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on a wire rack.
  9. Enjoy!

I used to make this using a small 1 lb coffee can. Buttered & sugared the inside of the can & the bread would slide right out. Problem now is I dont think those 1lb cans are available anymore. It is very good bread. I also spread cream cheese frosting on the slices!
