Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. In a small bowl add 1/2 cup of the heavy cream and heat in the microwave for 1 minute.
  2. Add the chocolate to the cream and let it set 1-2 minutes. The warm cream will melt the chocolate. Stir until the chocolate has incorporated with the cream and the chocolate has all melted. Set this aside to cool.
  3. In a separate bowl, add the remaining 1 cup of heavy cream. Using a handheld electric mixer or a stand mixer on medium speed, beat the cream until Stiff peaks form. Save a bit for topping if you wish.
  4. Fold in the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture.

Easiest, most delicious dessert, ever!

My college dessert was even easier. Use Redi Whip so that you don't have to whip your own cream. And use Hershey chocolate syrup so that you won't have to melt anything. Just combine the two and you'd have instant chocolate mousse. And I do mean instant! No need for any machines or muscles.

We also use strawberry syrup, as well fruit jellies and jams. With the jellies and jams, you do have to melt them in the microwave until they become a syrup. Or get fruit syrups at the store. You often find them in the Asian or Latin section. Asians use them for bubble tea while Latinos use them for ices.

My vegetarian friends used Cool Whip, or even silken tofu in place of the cream.

Looks delicious but my local store doesn't sell cream. Can I use avocado, apple sauce or margarine instead?

I don't think you could just substitute and have it turn out right. You would probably need to find a specific recipe. Here is one that has been posted in the past that looks like it would work

I would swap out cool whip for the cream. The. You dont need to whip it.
