Dog Pooping Inside?

My 2 1/2 year old Lab mix has started pooing in my basement. His environment hasn't changed in any way. Will be getting him fixed help with this problem? He is hardly ever alone and goes outside a lot.

Your dog is 2.5 years old and still intact? "Fixing" him will probably not change his basement routine.

Since his environment has not changed but his behavior has, a trip to the vet would be a good idea to check on any changes and possible problems he may now have; and to have or schedule his "fix". A medical problem may be the cause or part of a problem that he now has.

The sooner you have the vet check on any problems, the better, as waiting can make any problem worse. You vet can also help you address his behavior change.
