I have many beautiful greeting cards that I was too sentimental to dispose of. I just wondered where to donate them. There are lovely messages on them that would not bother me if read. Some are quite old and may become antiques some day.

You can pass it forward to people who you think may relate to the cards. :)
You could donate them to a nursing home, where the patients would appreciate things of that age.
Actually, these can be a blessing to some of the terminally ill that are in one of the Hospice facilities.
Please try calling the Hospice facility offices in your city and ask if they could use them and then maybe place them in one of their thrift stores when no longer in use.
I would ask on craigslist if any artists or teachers want them
