I have some machine washable wool fabric. Where can I donate it?

Pet shelters would probably love it! Also if there are any Amish people in your area they use wool for blankets and to cover in their buggies when it's cold.
There are also a lot of "Free buy nothing" sites on Facebook. They go according to area so you can offer to have someone come pick it up.

I would donate this to a senior citizens home if I were you. They are always looking for material and project these people can do. This would be great for them to use the material to make quilts with.

You can also give this to hospitals or rehab centers. Women's shelters are always looking for supplies to help women get back on their feet.

Perhaps your local churches, Red Cross, or quilter's guilds

But this is wool - not sure if there's a lot they can do with it. Quilts?

Go to your local nursing home. The residents there could use it for crafts.

Check your area for sewing clubs or for sewing supply shops as they may know a place that could use your wool.

  • If donating to a worthy cause, you can check your local Habitat Thrift stores as they can sell material and this money goes to helping fund this great organization.

  • There are also Salvation Army thrift stores and many churches have their own thrift stores and most all of these like to receive nice material.
  • All of these can be found if you Google thrift stores with your zip code.
